Bio
Jonathan Dolbee is a senior software engineer at LSU's Stephenson Disaster Management Institute, where he helps build and run the software Louisiana's state agencies use every day, from web applications and databases to the Kubernetes infrastructure and deployment pipelines behind them. His work includes GMPro, GOHSEP's platform for managing federal non-disaster grants from application to closeout, and STARS, which follows National Guard Youth ChalleNGe cadets from application through post-residential mentorship in Louisiana and Oklahoma.
He started at SDMI as an LSU student worker, supporting web development, database administration, and GIS, and that work set his course toward full-stack development and geospatial technology. After earning a B.S. in Computer Science with a concentration in software engineering from LSU, he joined SDMI full time.
His path into software began early, at the Academy of Information Technology at Carencro High School, followed by an internship at CGI in Lafayette working on software integration and development.
