Kelly Martinez

Experience

Kelly grew up in Michigan and attended Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. She started out her career in retail management and moved to merchandise planning for Kmart Corp. In 1997 she moved to Baton Rouge and began working for LSU in the College of Engineering. She had several positions that included Coordinator and Assistant Director with responsibilities in procurement, grants and contracts and human resources. She became the Business Manager for SDMI in 2015 and soon expanded departments to include TTCRC and SNCSRT (or SPI?). She is responsible for the managing the daily business operations and administrative services which includes preparing financial reports, procurement, account reconciliation, grants and contracts, travel, and coordination of conference exhibits.
